Okay so hear me out. Brownies and chocolate chip cookies are my top 2 fav desserts but sometimes a gal wants the best of both worlds. And naturally, that same gal also wanted the best of both worlds while also enjoying an easy process and minimal cleanup. And that is why, my friends, these one- bowl CC blondies are coming to save the day! It has the amazing texture of a brownie: super soft center with crispy edges, tastes exactly like a chocolate chip cookie AND only takes 30 minutes to make using only one bowl. Is it even possible for anything to top that? Reallyyyyy doubt it.. Happy baking!

Recipe details
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 8 oz. semisweet chocolate, cut into chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease using vegetable oil.
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add in the vanilla extract, eggs, egg yolk, and beat until just incorporated. Sift in the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder and mix until everything is combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chunks. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 30-34 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick comes out with minimal crumbs.
Tips
- Be careful not to over-mix, otherwise, you're blondies will have a cake-like texture.
- Don't over-bake your blondies, they bake as they cool so it's better to take them out when they're slightly underbaked.

Why can’t you use the whole egg instead of just the yolk?
