Banana, Tahini and Dates Shakes

Tahini might strike you as an ingredient that would suit savoury dishes more especially given its role in hummus- a dish loved by many.

However, much like how salt elevates caramel, tahini has, in this recipe, elevated bananas; balancing out the natural, mellow sweetness with an earthy sharpness.

To make this duo even more developed, adding dates contributes with a dark toffee sweetness, eliminating the need to add extra sugar altogether.

It's a filling drink, so it would be great start to the day for an energy boost, or in the afternoon when you're feeling the need for a healthier dessert.
