It took a little while to get on the air fryer bandwagon, but I'm so glad we officially took the leap! I look forward to a lot more fun, but one trend I've noticed is how the most simple air fryer recipes are actually the best. This recipe is incredibly simple and officially one of my favorite asparagus recipes ever.
Just a little seasoning and about 10 minutes in the air fryer, you'll have delightfully tasty asparagus - and the kitchen will smell like you're enjoying a mid-summer cookout.
A few notes:
- Asparagus varies in width, so thicker asparagus spears might need a few extra minutes in the air fryer. I usually check the spears three-quarters of the way through cooking time to see how they're progressing.
- If you're a fan of snapping the bottoms of the spears, keep the bottoms and toss them in, too! They aren't as tender as the rest of the asparagus (that's the point), but they are fun little "chips." It's a great way to make sure the asparagus bottoms aren't going to waste.
- Depending upon the size of your air fryer, you might want to break up the recipe into 2 batches. This helps prevent overcrowding.
