Ingredients


  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Sausages, sliced diagonally: 8
  • Onion, diced: 1 whole
  • Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
  • Chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped tomatoes: 1 can, 400 grams
  • Dried thyme: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt and black pepper: To taste
  • Short pasta eg fusilli: 300 grams

Instructions


Put a large pot of water on to boil.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry sliced sausages on high heat until they are golden brown all over.
Now turn the heat down and add the onion and garlic, cooking them until they have softened.
Stir in the chilli powder, tomatoes and thyme. Bring the sauce to a boil, then turn the heat down and let it simmer for about 10 minutes while you cook the pasta. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Drop pasta into the pot of boiling water and cook until al dente.
Drain the pasta, then tip it into the frying pan with the sausage sauce, mixing well to coat. Serve immediately.
