A simple dish with sofrito, peppers, onions, and ground chicken. The difference with this dish is that we add Latin spices like sofrito.

Sofrito is made with fresh garlic, onions, peppers, fresh herbs like culantro and cilantro. This mixture of fresh herbs, and vegetables makes your food taste amazing.

This pasta is made in many Latin homes, with chicken or ground beef.

To top it all we add grated parmesan cheese on top for that flavorful touch!

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

1 lb ground chicken

1 packet of sazon with color

1 tsp of Sofrito

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 tsp of adobo

1/2 packet of chicken powder

1 24oz jar of your favorite Spaghetti sauce

1/2 tsp of dried oregano

8 ounces of dried spaghetti

1/3 cup of yellow peppers

1/3 cup of yellow onions

Parmesan cheese

Salt & pepper to taste

Chicken Seasoning Instructions

Season chicken with 1/2 tsp of adobo, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 black pepper, and 1/4 of oregano.

Instructions

Heat a saute pan on medium heat, and cook chicken with a little bit of water until golden brown. Once the chicken is cooked season the chicken with adobo, oregano, and pepper. Set aside.

In the meantime in a large pot, add 8 cups of water and bring to a boil to cook the pasta.

Cook the pasta per package instructions, and then drain and set aside.

Add the olive oil to the saute pan and add the peppers and onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the sofrito, sazon, garlic minced, chicken, and spaghetti sauce.

Add the pasta to the sauce and toss together to coat the pasta with the sauce.

Add parmesan cheese, and combine well.

This dish can serve up to 4 people. Enjoy with tostones (green plantains) or even white rice.
