I always have a batch of this Granola saved in mason jars - super easy to make and great to always have some on hand.

It's also easy to mix up this recipe to add different types of nuts and seeds - this is a basic recipe that you can switch up however you like.

Granola is a great food to have on hand for a quick breakfast. A bowl of granola with milk over top, along with a slice of this awesome moist Banana Bread is all that's needed to start the day.

Add sliced fruit and berries to make it an even healthier and filling breakfast!

Use this granola as a topping for fruit crisps, yogurt or even over a bowl of ice cream.

Five ingredients are all that's needed to make this granola. Honey, oil, nuts and seeds and oats - from there you can add dried fruit or additional seeds.

Note: I like to use Coconut Oil in this recipe, but you can use any oil you like.

Combine the honey, oil and water. Mix them well together.

Add the 6 cups of oats and mixed nuts & seeds, give it all a good mixing and then spread it out on some baking sheets.

Bake at low temperature (around 250 degrees) for about an hour and a half.

Make sure you give it all a good stir every 15 minutes. A spatula works well for this. Bake it until it's toasty and crunchy.

Let it cool completely before storing in airtight containers.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 6 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 – 4 cups mixed nuts & seeds, I used 3 cups and wished I had more
Instructions

Combine the honey, oil and water. I use Coconut Oil (a solid at room temperature)so I heat it up and then mix the first 3 ingredients together.
Add the 6 cups of oats and mixed nuts & seeds (I had 3 cups), give it a good mixing and then spread it out on some cookie sheets.
Bake at low temperature (around 250 degrees) for about an hour and a half. Make sure you give it all a good stir every 15 minutes. Bake it until it's toasty and crunchy. Let it cool completely and store in a canister.
We enjoy it on yogurt with fresh fruit - it's delicious!
