I make chocolate syrup for my kids because we don't do high fructose corn syrup or artificial dyes. This is a really easy 5 ingredient recipe that can be made in just a few minutes, and you can store it for weeks in the fridge.

I really like this chocolate sauce recipe because the ingredients are pantry staples. It uses unsweetened cocoa powder, which I always have on hand.

You can store leftovers in the fridge for a few weeks.

You can also reduce the sugar. You can use Splenda, monk fruit, or your favorite sweetener. I usually use half Splenda and half sugar to reduce the sugar but not affect the taste.

1-2 cups white sugar.. What does this mean? Is it 1 cup? Or 2 Cups?

Here is what she said about the sugar. It’s up to your discretion.

May I suggest mixing the cocoa with sugar first, then add water. Then there's no clumping.
