Blend until the sugar dissolves, just a minute of two.

One taste of this creamy, delicious ice cream and you’ll never look at store-bought ice cream the same way again
Freeze Ice Cream Mixture
Once you’ve made the ice cream mixture, the next step is to freeze it in an ice cream maker.
You can use the traditional ice cream maker that will require ice and rock salt.
Or my new favorite way is with my ice cream bowl and paddle that attaches to my Kitchenaid mixer.
Then the only thing I need to store is the paddle in a drawer and I keep the bowl in my deep freezer.
Cuisinart also makes a great ice cream maker, that’s what my dad uses.
You simply keep your bowl in the freezer until you’re ready to make ice cream.
Start your ice cream maker and then pour the mixture to the bowl and freeze according to the manufacturer’s directions.
With my Kitchenaid ice cream maker attachment, the ice cream is ready in 15-20 minutes.
It’s just that simple!
The result is a creamy and delicious ice cream that will impress any dessert lover.
So, dust off that ice cream maker and get ready to indulge in some homemade goodness.

FAQ
As you embark on your homemade ice cream journey, you may have a few questions and concerns.
Rest assured, we’ve addressed some of the most frequently asked questions to ensure your ice cream making experience is smooth and enjoyable.
Common questions include:
Can I use a different type of milk or cream?
For those with dietary restrictions or preferences, alternative milks and creams can be used, although the texture and creaminess may vary.
What if I don’t have an ice cream maker?
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, don’t worry—you can use the freeze-and-stir method by placing the mixture in a shallow dish and stirring it every 45 minutes as it freezes.
It will probably take 3-4 hours to freeze.
Can I customize the recipe by adding different flavors or mix-ins?
As for customizing your ice cream, the possibilities are endless!
Feel free to get creative and experiment with different flavor combinations and mix-ins to suit your personal taste.
Do you make ice cream with or without eggs? Are you an ice cream lover wondering about eggs in your scoop?
Adding egg yolks to your ice cream recipe can make it richer, creamier, and more dense.
The more eggs you add, the more it embodies those characteristics.
However with my dad’s peanut butter banana recipe, the banana helps make the ice cream creamier.
And if you’d like it even creamier, add 2 bananas instead of one.
What is the ratio of milk to cream in ice cream? Want perfect ice cream?
Here’s the secret ratio of milk to cream: 2:1 cream to milk.
This perfect mix avoids that icy texture you get from milk-only ice cream, so you can enjoy smooth and creamy goodness.
What type of peanut butter should I use?
You can use cream or chunky, it just depends on your own personal preference.
I also prefer using natural peanut butter, to me the flavor is more peanuty!
