What’s better than a cold glass of lemonade? Well, in my opinion, lemon popsicles! These easy homemade ice pops are an essential addition to your list of summer desserts.

With only three simple ingredients, one of which is water, it’s almost embarrassing to call this a recipe! But, the frozen treat people need to know about all the best summer desserts. If you love icy sweets as much as I do, be sure to print, save, or share this recipe for hot days.

Refreshing Lemon Popsicles to Make Yourself

I’m really beefing up the popsicle section on this blog, as I should be. Homemade ice pops are such a delightful treat during the summer. Whether you serve them at BBQ parties, give them to kids, or snack on them poolside, it’s always an appropriate time for frozen desserts.

When you can make homemade lemonade pops this easily, it’s also a great way to stock the freezer and skip the store-bought pops for the season.

Lemon Ice Pops Ingredients

Here’s what you need to make this recipe. The exact measurements are in the recipe card below.

  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Optional: Lemon zest

How to Make Lemon Popsicles

Use a small pan to bring the water to a simmer.

Whisk in the sugar until it’s completely dissolved.

Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool.

Stir in the fresh lemon juice until fully incorporated.

Carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle mold and insert the sticks as per your mold’s instructions.

Freeze for at least 5 hours or overnight.

Gently remove the pops from the mold and serve.
