Profiterole
I love having friends over and bake something new every time. This recipe is perfect for when people are announcing they are coming over shortly and you have a limited amount of time on your hands. 35 effortless minutes and you have puffy profiteroles that tastes like from a bakery.
First thing is to boil water and oil together.
In the meantime I took the eggs out of the fridge so it will be in room temp. I measured 1 cup of white flour and once the water-oil was bubbling, I added the flour to the pot.
I removed it from the stove and mixed it in the pot, until the consistency was similar to a dough.
I let it cool down for a few minutes before putting the dough in the mixer
Then I added the eggs, one by one. Until it was creamy and fluffy.
I transfer the content to a pipping bag and let it rest for a few minutes before pipping the cookies. Then, straight to the oven for 15-20 minutes. Depends on the size. Once it is ready, I turned the oven off and left them to cool down a bit there.
In the meantime I cleaned the mixer bowl and made the cream.
When they cooled down, I cut it in half and placed the cream in the middle.
Before the guest arrived, I added Powdered sugar on top
Finished.
