Ingredients

  • 1 very ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk of choice
  • 1/3 cup quick oats (this wont turn out the same if you use rolled oats)
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions

In a bowl, stir together the mashed banana, egg and milk until combined.
Stir in the oats, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt and mix until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into 1 (12 oz) mug.
Microwave 1- 1.5 minutes (I always do 1 minute first, and check it. It is always better under "bake").
Eat immediately while it is warm and gooey.
Top with a dollop of peanut butter for extra deliciousness!
Tips
  • **TIP- put a small plate under your mug when you microwave in case it bubbles over! If your mug is too small it will!

      Hi Carol,

      Im sorry you didn't like it! Did you use a ripe banana? (if its not ripe enough the mug cake wont be sweet) And did you use quick oats? Both of those ingredients make a big difference!
