There is nothing better than waking up to the smell of freshly baked muffins! Does anyone else buy a TON of bananas just so they will go ripe and be used for baking? Well we do! Bananas definitely never go to waste in our house. This recipe is so easy and filled with healthy ingredients.


These Banana Nutella Muffins put a small twist on a classic banana bread recipe, using whole wheat flour, olive oil, and just that perfect amount of sweetness from the Nutella. They are perfect treat for any time of the day and will definitely satisfy your sweet craving!

Ingredients

  • 4 large bananas
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • dash of cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsps nutella
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F
In a large bowl, mix together wet (bananas, oil, eggs) ingredients followed by dry ingredients (flour, baking powder+soda, cinnamon, salt)
Transfer batter into sprayed muffin pan
Add about 1/2 tsp of Nutella onto each muffin and swirl together with a toothpick/knife
Bake for 20 minutes
