Have some refrigerated bread that you need to use up? Or just want to jazz up that slice of bread? Make french toast! Quick and simple to do, and you've got yourself a lovely breakfast dish.

You can use store-bought sliced bread, but I've gone a little extra and used up some of the brioche loaf I had made. Be as minimal or extravagant as you want with toppings, but I tend to enjoy mine with some fresh fruits and whipped cream. Sometimes I want a little extra sweetness so I've included a recipe I used for caramel sauce. It makes a fairly large jar, so you can always reduce the proportions to make a smaller amount.
