Creamy French Toast Bake

This recipe is a comfy cozy feeling recipe. The addition of the cream cheese really took it to another level. It is really easy to make. I used some mini croissants which made it extra buttery tasting and it held together so well. I cut up the croissants into bite size pieces and put them directly into a greased pan. I made the custard and poured it into the pan along with some pieces of cream cheese. Adding the cream cheese in pieces makes every bite you take so creamy and good. I did check on it periodically and pressed down onto the cream cheese pieces it helped them melt faster. We made this for a dinner it could be made for either meal. Just add your protein on the side. I added fresh blueberries on the top of the warm french toast instead of syrup.

I served it with some fresh blueberries but you could easily add them into the pan just before baking.

I bought the mini croissants for this dish.

I cut them into bite size pieces.

I added the cream cheese right into the dish and pushed them down into the crevices.

I mixed up the milk and eggs and vanilla paste.

Poured it over all of the mixture in the pan.

Ready to bake. While baking press down on the cream cheese to help it melt faster and easier.

It really was so delicious even without syrup.
