What's better them some warm stew when the weather is getting cooler?

First things first, you need the beef! Can't have beef stew without beef!

Next you need some onion and garlic, brown that up on medium heat for 10 minutes.

this is where a lot of people like to add broth, but not me, I prefer 1/2 bottle of hoppy beer.

Also, I love me some Frank's hot sauce. I put that s*** on everything!

Add some diced tomatoes and tomato sauce as well.

I usually don't do this, but this time I had an open bottle of red wine so I decided it couldn't hurt and I was NOT disappointed.

So much flavor in this puppy!

This is when you add the carrot and potatoes and let it all simmer for an hour on low heat.

About 20 minutes before you are ready to eat, add a cup of pasta and cook until the noodles are tender.

What's better then making your belly and eyes happy? I used this darling tureen from Target and ate it all up!

All that was left, was the top of the tureen, true story!

  • 1/2 diced onion
  • beef chunks
  • diced tomato
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 bottle hoppy beer
  • 1/4 cup Frank's red hot
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup noodles
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • bay leaves
  • 3 garlic cloves diced

brown beef, onion & garlic in dutch oven on medium heat for 10 minutes
add tomato sauce, carrots, tomatoes, wine, hot sauce and beer and simmer for 20 minutes on low heat
add potatoes and simmer for another 20 minutes
add noodles and simmer for a final 20 minutes
