I don’t know about your kiddos, but most of the ones I know are not big fans of Thanksgiving stuffing. This sweet maraschino cherry stuffing for Thanksgiving is a game changer. It is super yummy and has a touch of sweet that makes it delicious for kiddos. Whether cooked inside a turkey (makes it much more moist) or in a baking dish, it is sure to be a hit. This post is sponsored by CherryMan but the ideas and opinions are my own. CherryMan maraschino cherries are grown in the USA (Oregon and Michigan). You can learn more about their growers on their beautiful website.
There are a few tricks to making the stuffing kid friendly. Of course the more cherries you add, the better to get started. It is also really helpful to cook the onions in butter before adding them to the stuffing mix to bring out their sweetness.

  • 1 Loaf Bread (Can Use Gluten Free)
  • 2 Sticks Butter
  • 1 Jar CherryMan Maraschino Cherries
  • 6 Celery Stalks
  • Stuffing Spices (To Taste)
  • 1/2 Sweet Onion
Instructions
  1. Dice bread into small cubes and let dry out for an hour.
  2. Chop onion and celery into small pieces.
  3. Melt butter and cook onion and celery until soft.
  4. Chop cherries.
  5. Mix bread, cherries, celery and onion and butter mixture and cherries. Add spices.
  6. Put stuffing mixture into bird or baking dish (or both). Bake for length of bird cooking for bird. Bake for one hour on 350 degrees (covered) for baking dish.
Stuff your bird with the mix and then bake any extra in a baking dish. If you cover the baking dish with foil, it will support holding in the moisture which makes it way better.
So, yum, right? Maraschino cherries are such a fabulous way to add sweet yummy flavor to dishes. CherryMan has the biggest, yummiest ones of all so be sure to look for them on your grocery shelves.
