These easy brown sugar cinnamon rolls are the perfect weekend breakfast. They are super simple with minimal ingredients and do not require any yeast or rising time. I don’t know about you, but I do not always have the patience for that! This makes them a great option if the kids like to help you bake, or if you are in somewhat of a time crunch. The brown sugar cinnamon flavor pairs perfectly with a powdered sugar glaze poured over the top. These rolls would also be amazing with a caramel topping instead. Either way, you can’t go wrong with fresh baked cinnamon rolls!

Ingredients
For the rolls:
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
For the filling:
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
For the glaze:
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp milk
Instructions
For the rolls:
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a large bowl, mix together the butter and milk and then add in the flour and baking powder.
Knead together with your clean hands.
Place a piece of parchment paper down and some flour to prevent sticking.
Roll the dough out on the parchment paper with a rolling pin.
For the filling:
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Brush the dough with melted butter then add the brown sugar cinnamon mixture.
Roll it up tightly and then cut into 9 even rolls.
Place rolls on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes.
For the glaze:
While the rolls are baking, mix together your powdered sugar, vanilla and milk.
If you’d like it thinner, add more milk. If you want it thicker, add more powdered sugar.
Once rolls are done, let them cool for a few minutes and then top with glaze!
