This is a recipe I found a few years ago, I don't remember where or how it came from, but over the years I improved it and arranged it according to my family and children. The onion sauce is sweet, and really? Even those who don't like onions will love it, I promise. The secret in the sauce is browning the onion and adding spices, of course no spice is mandatory and can be changed according to your taste. Tip: Make white rice or pasta next to this dish, or as my husband likes to eat: 3-4 patties in a bun!! No need to add anything, appetite

Ingredients:
- For meatballs:
- 600 g ground beef
- 1/4 bundle of parsley
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium peeled potato
- 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Salt, pepper
- For the onion sauce:
- 8-10 sliced onions
- 2 grated garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon black/white pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
- A little grated nutmeg
- Salt to taste1/4 cup water
- 7-8 tablespoons olive/plain oil
Instructions
How to prepare:
- For meatballs:
- Place the parsley, potatoes and onions in the food processor, chop well. Transfer to a bowl and add the rest of the patty ingredients. cover and put in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- Preparation of the onions:
- In a wide saucepan place the sliced onions, garlic, oil and all spices.
- Working with a high flame! Fry for about 15 minutes while stirring.
- Add a quarter cup of water, reduce flame and cover the saucepan.
- In the meantime, make meatballs and add them to the onion sauce as well.
- Cover the saucepan and cook for about an hour and a quarter.
