This Fried Egg Burger with Hollandaise Sauce is made with ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, and homemade hollandaise sauce.

Now this is the best way to enjoy the summer and a burger. Nothing better than diving into a juice burger topped with a fried egg and hollandaise sauce. You won’t make burgers any other way after this.

How to make Fried Egg Burger with Hollandaise Sauce

Make the hollandaise sauce. Add butter in a bowl and place in a microwave. Place a paper towel on top to prevent mess. Microwave for 10-15 seconds, until the butter is melted. Place the yolks in a food processor or blender. Add the melted butter into the blender, as well as the lemon juice and blend until smooth. Set aside.

Make the patties. Combine the ground beef, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and combine. Split the meat mixture in four equal parts. Form each portion into a patty.

Cook the patties. Heat the grill to medium high heat. Add the patties on top of the grill grates. Grill the first side about 3 minutes or until charred. Flip the burger over and cook for an additional 6 minutes, or until your desired doneness. Add cheese for one minute on each patty until melted. Remove and let the patties rest. If you like your buns toasted, toast in the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Make the fried egg. In a small frying pan, add the butter and wait for it to melt. Let the eggs cook undisturbed until the whites are almost completely set and opaque except for the ½-inch area around the yolks, about 2 minutes. For Sunnyside up, eat as is. For over easy, flip the egg and cook for 30 seconds more.

Assemble the burger. Place the patty on a bun and top with the fried egg. Add a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce and top with the bun.

  • Excellent recipe. Big fan of hollandaise and will pour on anything and it will be heavenly. My cardiologist would beg to differ! Ordered this at a new restaurant and, yes, it's that good! Thanks for sharing. And for those on the fence, try it for yourself. I made a big mess and ended up using a knife and fork to finish, but there wasn't a crumb or drop left on the plate. And contrary to etiquette where one is supposed to leave a bite or two on the plate.

  • Excellent recipe! Ordered this at a new burger joint in town. Delish! Messy and I finished with a knife and fork. Ok gotta add this to lunch or dinner rotation this week. Thanks for sharing! For those on the fence, try it once. It is really good.
