Sweet Pickled Red Onions With Garlic and Rosemary

Pickled red onions are easy to make and a great topping for sandwiches, burgers, and hotdogs. These are a refrigerator pickling recipe that does not require canning.
Make pickled onions with simple ingredients and very little effort. Start with fresh garlic, thinly sliced red onions, and fresh rosemary.
Thinly slice the garlic and onions. Use whole sprigs of fresh rosemary rather than removing the needles from the stem.
Make the pickling solution using light-tasting vinegar, salt, and sugar. Add water and heat to dissolve the salt and sugar.
After placing the pickles, onions, and garlic in the mason jar, pour the liquid in until it is completely covered.
Let your mason jar sit in the refrigerator for several weeks for maximum flavor. Then eat and enjoy them on your favorite sandwiches!
