15 minute⏱ Friday Pasta Dinner w/Creamy Mushroom Sauce
Amazing and delicious dinner served in 15 minutes and celebrate with nice cold glass of Chardonnay.
Hello Foodie friends,
One of the first recipes I learnt to cook was this creamy mushroom sauce. Is easy, to make and creamy delicious. The mushrooms are soft, the richness of the heavy cream is balanced with the lemon zest, crating a well balance dish. I say it will go with many other dishes. Other plates I like to pair this rich sauce is with chicken, pasta, mix in with rice or green beans for a nice holiday casserole. What about with grilled asparagus? I think this will be my next recipe on the blog.
Just a few ingredients for a delicious comforting meal- ready in 15 minutes.
Add freshly grated pecorino romano and parsley for added flavor and garnish.
Let's Dishplay it together and Elevate home cooked meals!Enjoy!

Recipe details
Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- 1 package of Cacio e Peppe Ravioli
- 1/2 sweet yellow onion (finely diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely minced)
- 1/2 a cup of heavy whipping cream
- 1 package of baby Bella mushrooms
- 1/4 tsp of thyme
- 2 TBSP of butter
- Lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley
- Grated pecorino Romano
Instructions
- In a hot pan, sautee onions for about 3 minutes, then add mushrooms and cook for about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While this is cooking add fresh ravioli in hot water. This cooks in about 3-4 minutes.
- To the mushroom and onion mix, add minced garlic & heavy whipping cream and mix all ingredients together.
- ( You may want to add about 2 TBSP of pasta water to thin out the creamy sauce)
- My secret ingredient is lemon zest to brighten and balance the flavors of this dish. Then season with salt, pepper & dry thyme. Simmer for about 4 minutes.
- When pasta is ready, drain so it doesn't overcook.
- In a shallow bowl, add pasta, the mushrooms sauce, drizzle EVOO, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley & grated pecorino Romano.

- Enjoy!

Sounds delicious! I will try adding some fresh dill and a touch of dry white wine.
What is EVOO?
