This recipe makes 8 truffles, but you can easily double the recipe if you want more.
White chocolate baking chips are used here and really, it's worth the extra cost to get pure white chocolate to make this delicious treat!
After you finish making the chocolates, lightly dust the tops with either cinnamon or nutmeg. It adds a pretty finish and a lovely flavor.
These are the pure white chocolate melting chips I use to make these yummy treats.
These truffles take about 20 minutes to make and then they will need to cool for about 3 hours.
After mixing the ingredients together, let the mixture cool in the fridge.
Then, shape into small balls, place on a baking sheet and put back into the fridge to chill.
Meanwhile, melt the left over chocolate chips together with the shortening.
Dip each of the truffles into this coating, making sure the whole truffle is coated well.
Dust the tops of the truffles with cinnamon and then return to the fridge to set.
If you like, you can use nutmeg instead of cinnamon. You could also dust with sugar sprinkles!
