Calling all appetizer lovers! This recipe if just for you!

Sundays in my house call for 2 of my favourite things....football and snacks 😊 This maple walnut baked brie is so perfect to nosh on while catching the Sunday game. This recipe has been a crowd please for as long as I can remember - and for good reason! It's perfectly sweet and savoury, comes together super quick and requires minimal ingredients!

It pairs soooo nicely with sliced apples (my favourite 😍) or crusty bread.

In a pinch, feel free to use pecans or sliced almonds as well - so tasty! I hope you give this recipe a try!

Scoring the top makes this Brie even more ooey gooey!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 500 gram package of brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375.
In a brie baker or 8 X 8 pan, unwrap brie and place in baking dish.
Using a butter knife, lightly score the top of the brie by dragging the knife to make vertical lines, then turning the pan 90 degrees and dragging the knife again to make horizontal lines. I try not to press down too hard when scoring the top and the lines should not be more than 1/4 in thick. This helps for the brie to melt and get all ooey, gooey and delicious.
Place brie in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Remove the pan and drizzle over the maple syrup then top with walnuts. Place back in the oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is bubbling. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Serve immediately with sliced apples, crackers or bread. Enjoy!
