This is one of my all time favorite Christmas goodies. There is a reason it is called “Christmas crack,” because it is so addicting. It is really easy to make but it tastes like it came right from a candy store. Think sugar meets toffee meets caramel meets chocolate. What is better than that?! All you need is a few ingredients that you might already have on hand. I prefer to use graham crackers for the base, but I have also seen people use saltine crackers instead. So if you like the salty and sweet combo, I would definitely recommend trying that. Otherwise graham crackers are hard to beat!

Ingredients

  • 6-9 sheets of graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 oz chocolate chips (half of a bag)
  • Christmas sprinkles
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°.
Line a 9x13 baking sheet with foil and grease the foil well.
Place graham crackers on baking sheet. You may need to break some so they fit until the baking sheet is covered.
In a small saucepan, boil the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract for 2-3 minutes or until it’s a caramel consistency, stirring frequently.
Pour over the graham crackers and bake for 5 minutes.
Once removed from oven, let set for a couple minutes.
Place chocolate chips on top and put back in the oven for just a minute so they melt.
Remove from oven and spread chocolate with a spatula until it’s all covered.
Top with Christmas sprinkles.
Let set in fridge for a few hours before serving.
