These bars are a gooey, sweet and satisfying treat. With 145 calories, 6g protein, 20g carbohydrates, and 2g fiber each, these bars are sure to keep you satisfied for hours.

In addition, this kid friendly recipe is a fun recipe that you can get creative with by adding in ingredients such as chocolate chips, nuts, and/or dried fruit to make these bars your own.

Mash bananas before adding other ingredients.

I added in white chocolate chips that I had on hand, but feel free to add in any of your favorite ingredients such as chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, craisins, etc.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 cup any add-in such as chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit; optional
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray 9x9 baking dish with baking spray.
Mix mashed bananas, maple syrup, peanut butter, and protein powder together in a large bowl.
Stir in oats and protein powder.
Stir in any additions you are using and pour into baking dish.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Let cool for 15 minutes and then slice into 16 bars.
Tips
  • These bars can be stored in an air tight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. They can also be wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and frozen for up to a month.
  • Switch things up by adding 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, craisins or other dried fruit, or chocolate chips to these bars.
