As you may know I love a crumble anything. I have a wonderful peach crumble recipe that I love, and I thought to myself "why don't I have an apple crumble recipe?" So of course I had to come up with a recipe for the fall season and this recipe doesn't disappoint. It has a wonderful brown sugar crumble with butter pecans and soft cinnamon apples. I love it warm with a little ice cream! It gives me all the warm fall vibes, and I can't stop making it. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Recipe details
Ingredients
Apple Filling
- 4 Large Apples Sliced 1/2 inch thick
- 1 c Sugar
- 1/4 c Corn Starch
- 1/2 t Cinnamon
- Pinch of Salt
- 4 T Unsalted Butter Melted
- 1/2 T Vanilla Extract
- 2 t Lemon Juice
Crumble
- 1T Unsalted Butter
- 1 c Chopped Pecans
- 5 T Unsalted Butter Softened
- 1/3 c Dark Brown Sugar
- 1 T Sugar
- 2/3 c All Purpose Flour
Instructions
Apple Filling
- Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix together the sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and salt in a bowl and set it aside.
- Peel and slice your apples 1/2 inch thick and add them to a bowl.
- Pour the melted butter, vanilla, and lemon juice on your apples and toss them around to get all the apples coated.
- Pour the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the apples and mix until all of the apples are coated. Then transfer the apples to a baking dish. I used a pie dish.
Crumble
- In a sauce pan melt 1T of butter on a medium heat.
- Add the pecans to the melted butter and cook them until they are fragrant.
- Take the pecans off the heat and put them in a bowl to cool down.
- Mash together the sugar, butter, brown sugar, flour, and cooled pecans until you don't see anymore flour.
- Squeeze a handful of crumble in your hand to make a brick.
- Then crumble the brick on top of the apples. This will give you big and small crumbles.
- Repeat this until all the crumble is on the apples.
- Bake the apple crumble in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes.
- Let it cool for 30 minutes and then enjoy!

The addition of pecans sounds delish! Thanks for that idea!
Is the 1 T of butter the melted amount?
