Here's a simple yet delicious fava bean salad that is rich in nutrients, fiber and protein. The recipe is considered a staple in most middle eastern homes. It's usually had for breakfast on the weekend while all the family members are gathered around.

I tried the canned ones and they were so yummy. So all you'll need to do to have this meal is gather all the ingredients, toss them in a salad bowl and enjoy 🥗

Ingredients
Salad
  • 1 can small fava bean
  • 1 bunch parsley finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes diced
  • 3 cucumbers diced
  • Small onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
Dressing
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • 2 lemons juiced
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Make sure you rinse and dry the beans and vegetables
In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients together
Add dressing, mix well until the dressing covers the beans and veggies.
Tips
  • Serve cold with a side of fresh pita or your choice of bread

    Where does all the sodium come from?

    It looks great, however there is no mention of what the chopped greens are. IS it chopped parsley. Kindly confirm. thanks.
