This is a Spinach Ravioli in Meat Sauce recipe is made with homemade meat sauce and raviolis. This sauce is simmered into perfection and is so rich in flavor. There will be no complaints around the dinner table. It is super family friendly!

This Spinach Ravioli in Meat Sauce has a thick, meaty and hearty sauce with phenomenal flavor with and made with ground beef. This is a perfect, comfort meal for a Sunday. You can buy the meat sauce at the store but it is so worth making it yourself. It simmers for 3 hours, but if you have more time, the longer the better.

Start by blending the whole plum tomatoes in a blender. You could buy the tomato sauce, but I always found the it tastes better this way.

On medium-high heat, heat up 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic for a minute, until fragrant. Brown the ground beef, breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon, about 8-10 minutes.

Pour in the wine and simmer for 1 minute. Reduce heat and add the blended tomatoes. Sprinkle salt and pepper and add the bay leaf.

Reduce to the lowest heat possible, cover, and simmer for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Cook the ravioli according to package instructions.

Combine the cooked ravioli and the sauce. Top with some parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley.
