Raspberry Chocolate Chip Bar
I have a thing for raspberries I am always looking for recipes using them. I have made smoothies and drinks with them but never any type of dessert.
I am super excited to share this recipe and all the tips I learned to make a raspberry chocolate chip bars.
Tips to Make Raspberry Chocolate Chip Bar
You can use any chocolate chip cookie recipe. If you want to make this even easier use a chocolate chip cookie kit from the store. I used the same recipe that I used for my fluffy chocolate chip recipe. The tip to make the bars fluffy is to leave the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes and make sure the butter is in room temperature. This recipe the raspberries are put on top of the bars not inside.
Why is room temperature butter better
By leaving the butter soften in room temperature it makes it so much easier to mix. In the past trying to mix cold butter was very difficult causing issues with the baking process.
Why putting Batter in refrigerator is good for baking process
Chilling cookie dough before baking solidifies the fat and keeps the batter from getting thin. 30 minutes is a good time for chilling.
