Sour Cream Cinnamon Coffee Cake Recipe
In this post, I’m going to show why sour cream cinnamon coffee cake is one of my favorite things to make. First, it’s super easy to make. Secondly you can make it with walnuts or without. Thirdly and what’s the most important in this recipe is the sour cream is what makes this recipe moist. In the past I have used milk and found to be dry. Nothing is more enjoyable than having a cup of tea or coffee with my favorite coffee cake recipe.
Supplies You May Need:
Glass Pan or Bundt cake: I used an 8 inch by 8 inch glass baking pan, or you can use a bundt cake pan which works as well.
Mixer: My favorite is KitchenAid KHM512IC 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer, Ice Blue
Measuring Cups: I love these stackable measuring cups.
Wooden Spatula: Non stick Spatula wooden spoons are great when you are dealing with sticky batter.
How To Make The Sour Cream Cinnamon Coffee Cake Recipe.
1. Cream butter and sugar, egg, sour cream and vanilla.
2. In a bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture. Walnuts is an option, some people are allergic to nuts and others like it plain. I love my coffee cake with walnuts.
3. Spread half the batter in a pan, I love using my wooden spatula it tends to spread so much nicer than the plastic.
Filing:
Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar, sprinkle over the batter. You can add more of each if needed.
4. Add the remaining batter.
Topping:
Mix chopped walnuts, cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle over batter. Again add brown sugar or cinnamon to the topping if needed.

Can you substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream, and if so would you need to make any other adjustments?
Am I missing something here? Is it coffee cake without the coffee? So it's cinnamon cake then? I read that recipe about 4 times and I still couldn't see any coffee mentioned.
