When summer rolls around, I immediately think of fresh juices and delicious smoothies! I mean, is there anything more refreshing than a cool drink on a hot summer day? I think not! Some of our favorite smoothies and juices include our Peanut Butter And Jelly Protein Smoothie (great as a mid-morning snack!), Berry Orange Banana Smoothie, or this Lean Green Juice! Before you say no to this green juice, hey give it a try! There's no easier way to get your greens in than in a cold glass of juice!
Fresh squeezed lemons!
Look at that color!
Pour a glass for yourself, and one for a friend!
The Lean Green Juice
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1/2 head romaine lettuce
- 3 cups baby spinach
- 1/2 Granny Smith apple
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- maple syrup, to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Into a juicer, add all ingredients except the maple syrup and lemon. Pour into a chilled glass and whisk in the maple syrup and lemon juice (or if you're using fresh lemons, squeeze it in!) ENJOY!
