Irish Guinness Beef Stew
Recipe details
Ingredients
- Beef chuck roast, cut into cubes
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 4 large garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 bottle of Guinness Dark Beer
- 4 carrots, peeled and cut
- 1 pound small white potatoes, quartered
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon liquid aminos
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Add the cubed beef to an oiled pot. Once browned, remove from pot.
- Add in diced onions and cook until translucent.
- Once the onions are cooked, stir in the flour and pour in the beer.
- Let this mixture bubble until it's thickened.
- Stir in the broth, liquid aminos, dried thyme, and salt/pepper.
- Add in the veggies and beef.
- Let simmer on medium for 1 hour or until the beef is tender.
