Turkish Toast

So you've heard of Turkish eggs before, but today it is Turkish toast! This is mainly because I didn’t have any pita bread and I’m trying to work with whatever I have in my fridge / freezer. Essentially it is the exact same idea, just served on a piece of toast! This is a perfect one-person meal and the flavor is so impressive for how easy it is to make.

Poaching eggs can be difficult for some so a fried egg works just as well! My favorite way to poach an egg is by bringing a pot of water to a simmer (not boil), and crack the egg into a small bowl first. Then you just gently pour it into the water for a few minutes. That's it!

Yum! My kind of breakfast food. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

  • Super tasty! Love poached eggs on anything. A nice alternative to avocado toast that is all the rage (have been eating it since the 60's.) Easy to customize for those that may not care for a certain ingredient. Fabulous share! Thank you. ❤
