We show you how to make jarcuterie, step by step. It’s cute, it’s delicious, it’s easily transportable, and perfect for any party.

IT’S FALL Y’ALL!!!

Well almost …

And you know what that means, all sorts of fun on the autumn road ahead!

Fall is definitely my favorite season, although summer is a really close second.

Why?

Because there is so much to do.

So many occasions to celebrate … tailgates, nights around the firepit, fall festivals, chilly afternoons at the wineries, crisp fall dinner parties on the patio, pumpkin carving, and I haven’t even gotten to Halloween!

So. Much. Fun.

A lot of these events will continue to look a little bit different this year.

So your Fall party ideas will evolve as well.

This is especially true with respect to food.

I’m not sure we’re quite ready to go back to parties with everybody sharing big ol’ bowls of chips, vats of communal dip, and appetizers that have been breathed on by everyone who passes by the dining room table.

At least I’m not.

Because to be honest, those were kinda gross even before the pandemic.

REIMAGINING HOW PARTY FOODS ARE SERVED

So for this fall and holiday season, I’m all about taking some cues from the caterers with whom we’ve worked in our professional events business for years.

That means re-thinking how party foods are served, in particular creating individual servings whenever possible.

Think about how caterers divide and portion appetizers and hors d’oeuvres to be passed on a tray.

And jarcuterie is one of my absolute favorite ideas to do this trick!

It’s cute, it’s delicious, and it’s easily transportable.

Jarcuterie is just about perfect for every occasion.

And we show you how to easily pull together this adorable concept, step by step.

HOW TO MAKE JARCUTERIE

The process is similar to how to make a charcuterie board.

But first, you obviously begin by choosing your jarcuterie jars.

I absolutely love these mason jars because of their diamond pattern.

They add a touch of elegance and farmhouse chic to this concept.

WHAT CAN YOU PUT IN JARCUTERIE

Think about how to build a charcuterie board, when deciding on your jarcuterie recipe.

I started by adding a traditional choice, mixed nuts.

Then I layered in blue cheese crumbles.

Next, I added mozzarella slices wrapped in prosciutto and salami.

You can also find pre-packaged prosciutto and salami mozzarella rolls.

I picked up some absolutely great ones at Aldi!

They were so good and such a time saver, that I decided to add two to each jar!

Grilled toast was also a great addition.

Sliced sourdough bread was ideal.

Buttering each side and toasting it on the grill made it delicious, as well as gave it some awesome grill marks.

Next, it was time for some fruit. Sliced apples were an excellent choice.

There’s no set number or formula for any of these jarcuterie recipes.

Just play around with what looks great in the jar.

Two apple slices seemed to be the perfect number for our jarcuterie jars.

Red grapes also fit perfectly from both a taste and a design perspective!
