Mixing a few simple breakfast favorites over flakey crescents makes for a simple and tasty Easter brunch casserole.

This is a recipe you will easily memorize and use for every holiday. Adding small changes gives different flavor for each celebration.

While browning 1/2 lb pork breakfast sausage, open 1 roll of crescent rolls and divide in half.

Place half of the roll into the bottom of a greased 8x8 baking dish. Press together the perforated seams and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, scramble 8-12 large eggs and mix in 1 cup of milk.

Add in 1 cup of your favorite shredded cheese. I prefer to shred my own cheese, but using prepackaged shredded cheese makes this recipe even easier.

After the sausage is done cooking, drain on a plate covered with paper towels to remove any access grease.

Add the cooked sausage and shredded cheese to the scrambled eggs. and pour over the crescent lined baking dish.

Top the egg mixture with the second half of the crescent roll and gently press together the seams.

Bake for 25-35 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 375.

Cooking times will vary. This casserole is done when a tooth pick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Allow the casserole to rest and cool for 10 minutes before serving.
