There’s a few classic, family favorite recipes that everyone in my family tends to make a little different. This delicious fruit salad recipe is one of those! Mom started us on the recipe, and we each give it our personal twist (sometimes with a frown from the others). But this sweet, old fashioned fruit salad is always a favorite! Enjoy our Acini De Pepe Fruit Salad recipe!

Acini De Pepe Fruit Salad

From the little pasta balls to the real whipping cream to the old fashioned treat of mini marshmallows, this recipe can stand in for a light dessert or even be served with brunch. We love it with the Easter ham, or with ham sandwiches later on in the day. Definitely a treat!

Ingredients for fruit salad
The Acini de Pepe noodles can be made the night before you mix the fruit salad.
Mixing noodle balls into fruit salad
I like to add in fresh fruit for texture. My favorite: an apple, banana and grapes.

This recipe makes a large quantity! It’s perfect for a large gathering, potluck or buffet. It’s sweetness can even stand in for dessert. I like to decorate the top with fruit and chopped nuts.

Cook first 5 ingredients together in a saucepan on medium, stirring constantly until thickened. Cook 1/2 box Asine de Pepe noodles per package instructions, drain.
