Crispy Air Fryer Seasoned Wings

32 Wings
45 min

My favorite way of cooking wings is definitely in the air fryer. There’s less mess to clean up compared to the traditional method of deep frying and the wings get so crispy! Did I mention that this recipe is also super easy? My family is always excited when it’s wing night in my house.

These wings are dry seasoned wings which means that there are not sauced. They are the perfect amount of saltiness and crispiness that makes them irresistible. Trust me, you’ll keep going back for more and more. It’s honestly hard to keep your hands off of them.

Ingredients
Dredging for wings
  • 3 tbsps cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup tapioca starch
  • 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsps Hy’s seasoning salt
  • Black pepper

  • 32 wings
  • water, if needed
  • cooking spray
Instructions

Preheat your air fryer at 400F for 5 minutes.
While the air fryer is preheating, in a large bowl, mix together the dredge for the wings.
If your wings looks dry, add in a few tablespoons of water to moisten them. Since the dredge is dry, you’ll need the wings to be wet so that the starch mixture sticks to them.
Toss half of the wings in the starch mixture and ensure they are evenly coated.
When the air fryer is finished preheating, add in the wings so they sit in a single layer. Spray the top with cooking spray and cook for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, flip the wings and cook for another 8 minutes. The wings should be golden and crispy. Remove them to a serving plate.
Repeat with the second half of the wings. This time, cook the first side for 9 minutes, flip and cook for another 7 minutes. Since the air fryer runs hotter after cooking the first batch, these will cook faster.
Once done, toss the first batch of wings back into the air fryer and cook for another 3 minutes to warm them up.
Serve and enjoy! The panko bits add texture and crunchiness to the wings.
