Birthday cake batter AND donuts!! It really doesn't get much better than this!


Not only are these donuts absolutely adorable, but they're super delicious and contain protein! These are perfect for a pre & post workout snack, late night treat, or... breakfast!


For the base of this recipe I used my favourite protein pancake mixture from a Canadian seller called Flourish Pancakes. Their protein pancake mixes can be found here: Flourish Pancake

Ingredients
Donuts
  • 1 cup of Flourish Pancakes Birthday Cake pancake mix
  • 1/4 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 cup of sugar (coconut, white or brown)
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
Icing
  • 1/2 cup of icing sugar
  • 3 tbsp of milk (I used almond milk)
  • 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl.
Pour the mixture into a greased donut pan.
Place in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the donuts cool completely before icing.
Pour your icing on the top of the donuts, and let it naturally drip down the sides.
Top with sprinkles and enjoy!!
