I have been getting braver with Cast Iron Cooking lately and this Garlic Butter Cast Iron Pork Chops Recipe was a huge hit with my whole family. Now pork chops are already a favorite of all, but you can only cook pork chops the same way so many times. These pork chops turned out so juicy, cooking in butter is clearly the way to go for this I Personally, I grew up with my mom and grandma cooking in Cast Iron. Let me tell you nothing tastes better than when it’s cooked in cast iron!

Garlic Butter Cast Iron Pork Chops Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 Sticks Butter
  • Minced Garlic
  • Thyme
  • Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Pork Chops
  • Olive Oil

How To Make garlic butter pork chops:

Brush your pork chops with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Now I let my pork chops set out for about half an hour before I cook them. I like to have the meat more at room temperature before I cook it.

We also had a combination of bone-in and boneless chops which either style of pork chops will work for this recipe. In a microwaveable bowl have your butter, garlic, and thyme ready to be melted.

Note, you can add a bit more salt and pepper into the butter if you want to as well.

Pour some olive oil into your cast iron pan and turn a burner to medium heat, this will help the meat not to stick to the pan.

Start melting your butter in the microwave, I do this in 15-second intervals so I can mix in the seasonings a bit as the butter melts.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Once your oil is warmed up place the pork chops and then cover with your melted butter.

**I did use a bacon splatter screen to stop some of the splashings of the butter and while the pork chops cooked**

Allow the pork chops to cook for about five minutes on each side and then move the pork chops to the oven.

I made Oven Roasted Baby Potatoes (You can see the recipe -> here) pair up with the pork chops.

Allow the pork chops to bake for about 25 minutes. I did flip mine halfway through for evenness, and because I wanted to see how they were cooking as well.

Serve and enjoy!
