When you think of home food, you think of this pot of meatballs, a pot of beef patties with peas and lots of celery that fills the whole house with the smells of cooking and fresh food. Before starting two tips: How do you keep the patties so that they do not fall apart during cooking? Put themin a short baking in the oven before cooking. This simple technique, which beautifully retains the shape of the patties during cooking, is worth adopting everytime you prepare a pot of meatballs. The fibrous celery stalks are recommended to be peeled with the help of a regular vegetable peeler. Just pass with a peeler on the stems. It refines the texture and makes the celery more pleasant to eat. It's the simplest and tastiest pot there is, and the combination with white rice makes it easy and daily cooking and most importantly delicious!

  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • chopped parsley (optional)
Ingredients for the sauce:
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 bag of frozen peas (600-800 g)
  • 4 stalks of celery with the leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups water or chicken broth
Instructions
How to prepare the patties:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (bake the patties a little before they enter the sauce, this way you get beautiful patties that retain their shape during cooking.).
Mix all the tenderloins of the patties together, and divide into 20 meatballs, on a slightly greased pan, for five minutes in the oven (this step is not mandatory, but it retains the shape).
How to prepare pea and celery sauce:
With the help of a peeler, peel a thin layer of celery stalks and cut into pieces 5 cm long. Cover with the broth or water and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
Arrange the patties on top, cover with a lid and cook for about 30 minutes until the sauce is reduced. If there is still water in the pot, remove the lid and continue to reduce.
