Easy Slow Cooker Spiced Pear Butter

This easy Slow Cooker Spiced Pear Butter has a silky smooth texture, it’s dairy-free and made easily in slow cooker, multicooker or instant pot with fresh pears or apples. Just combine all ingredients in the slow cooker, set timer, and forget it.

Whenever you have a few leftover ripe fruit like pears or apples, it is the perfect time to make a quick small batch of pear/apple butter.


Use it in  porridges, toasts, meat sauce and etc. Or just eat it with a spoon, that’s fine too! 🙂

Also, this pear butter is bursting with flavors of my favorite fall spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger. You’ll love how easy it is to make it in the slow cooker. Just throw all the ingredients together in a slow cooker, set timer, and relax (or meanwhile bake your favorite muffins that you can eat with the butter later. Yum!).

Ingredients


  • 1-2 tsp sugar brown add more if unripe fruit
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • ¼ tsp fresh chopped ginger
  • 3 medium pears peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 medium apple peeled and cut into chunks
  • ⅔ cup water

Instructions


Add all ingredients into a slow cooker or multicooker.
Choose the ‘’slow cooker’’ setting and adjust the timer to 3 hours.
When ready simply mash with a potato masher, leaving large chunks inside (for more rustic texture). Or use an immersion blender/blender for smoother butter.
Eat warm or cold!
