A tartine is an open faced sandwich eaten with a fork and knife. These little almost bite-sized tartines can also be used as cocktail party appetizers.

Begin with some crusty French bread cut into slices.  Pop those bread slices into the toaster oven and toast them up!

While your bread is toasting, slice an apple (I selected Granny Smith) into thin slices.

Top each bread slice with a couple of thin slices of apple, some thin sliced ham and a slice of brie.

Ingredients:

6 Slices of Crusty French Bread

1 Granny Smith Apple Sliced Thin

6 Ounces of Black Forest Ham

6 Ounces of Sliced Brie

Directions:

Toast bread slices

Preheat the toaster oven to 350 degrees

While bread is toasting slice the apples

When the bread is toasted, layer the apples, and ham on the toasts. Top each toast with a slice of brie.

Bake in the toaster oven for 10 minutes.

Serve hot with a fresh green salad and enjoy!
