Have you wondered how to make almond milk in the comfort of your own home? You won't believe just how easy it is to whip up.

I have been making almond milk from scratch for over a year now, off and on. I still buy a carton from time to time but when I have a minute, I go for fresh.

It tastes better and it's fun to make!

Can you believe that this recipe for almond milk only calls for two ingredients?

  1. Water
  2. Almonds

That’s it.

Natural sweeteners to try

  • Dates
  • Maple syrup
  • Honey

Flavors for homemade nut milk

  • Orange juice and zest
  • Cocoa powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Ginger powder
  • Vanilla beans/powder/extract
  • Sea salt

Do you have to soak almonds overnight?

It’s recommended you soak the almonds overnight. This makes it easier to blend and gives off more liquid. They should soak for at least 12 hours (so overnight is best).

Don’t have time to wait 12 hours?

You can soak the almonds in hot water for an hour. It won’t provide the same results as soaking overnight, but it will still work.
