If you've been looking for a healthy spaghetti recipe with tons of flavor this recipe is definitely for you. This recipe features fresh vegetables as well as flavorsome shrimp. I love adding different ingredients to my spaghetti and switch it up from the normal tomato sauce and meatballs. I've recently been loving shrimp, whether it be garlic shrimp pasta, or something like this. Shrimp, and vegetables like cabbage and red/orange peppers make this spaghetti taste so much more fresh. It also gives you your daily dose of vegetables :) This recipe is flavorful, delicious, and easy to make; perfect as a dinner with the family!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. spaghetti noodles
  • Four large red/orange peppers, sliced
  • 1 lb. shrimp
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 ball cabbage, thinly shredded
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • Olive oil, for sauté
Instructions

In a medium-size pot, add in a pinch of salt and the spaghetti. Follow instructions on package.
Shred cabbage into thin, even slices and cut the peppers into medium slices. Dice the onions mince garlic
In a large pan on medium heat, drizzle olive oil. Add and cook onion and garlic until translucent and fragrant. Toss in the cabbage and pepper until soft. Then, add the shrimp. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, and ginger
Pour in vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce and sriracha. Mix to combine with all of the other ingredients. Once the shrimp is pink and vegetable have become soft, add in the spaghetti. Stir together to combine and transfer to plates to serve.
