This easy pasta has few steps, only needs one pot, no strainer, AND is totally delicious. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner for the family!
One Pot Cajun Alfredo Pasta
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 pound chicken cut into bite sized pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 pound penne pasta, uncooked
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, plus more to taste
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese freshly shredded
- Italian Parsley for garnish
- 1/2 tomato for garnish
Instructions
- First, prepare the veggies and cheese: chop parsley, chop tomato, and grate Parmesan
- Heat oil in pot on medium heat
- Toss in cubed chicken, salt and pepper
- Once your chicken is browned, add garlic and stir.
- Add in heavy cream, chicken broth, parmesan, pasta, cajun seasoning, and oregano.
- Turn up heat to high and cook for 15 minutes. Stirring semi-frequently to keep from sticking to the bottom.
- Once the pasta is tender and the sauce is thickened, serve topped with chopped tomatoes and parsley

what is cajun seasoning?
Zero prep time? Really? It takes zero minutes to cut up chicken, chop veggies, grate cheese, ...? At least you didn't leave out steps this time.
