Homemade tartar sauce is so easy to make that you’ll never want to buy it again. My Quick and Easy Tartar Sauce is the perfect combination of creamy, tangy, and citrus. It can be served on crab or fish cakes, as a dip, sandwich spread, or with any fish, seafood, or chicken.

Sure you can buy your own tartar sauce and easily squeeze it out of a tube but what’s really in that sauce? Possibly extra sugar and we all know there’s too much of that in our diets. Why not just grab a few ingredients you probably already have in your refrigerator and make a tartar sauce yourself? It’s much easier and better tasting than you think.

I always have Dijon mustard, a jar of Horseradish, some organic mayonnaise, and fresh lemons in my refrigerator. If I’m out of sweet pickle relish, I might use capers or fine chop some pickles. One of my son’s will not eat white fish without tartar sauce, so I had him taste test a few of my favorite fish sauces and this is the recipe that my picky eater chose. I really love this one and I think you will too!

I make a similar version of this tartar sauce and it is very tasty on a ham and cheese omlet.

I like a simpler recipe, just use the dill relish, add chopped onion and some DUKES mayo!! I just add ingrediants until I get it to taste like I want it!! Thanks for your recipe!!!
