Our fun twist on No-Bake Banana Pudding is that we substitute Nutter Butters for Nilla Wafers. The combination of cool, creamy vanilla pudding and sliced bananas with that hint of peanut butter really is a match made in Heaven. The Nutter Butters soften a bit in the pudding mixture yet will remain firm enough to provide a textural component to the dish.
This isn’t a traditional baked pudding which tends to be a bit heavy. Even many no-bake versions can be a little dense due to the inclusion of cream cheese in the recipe. We, however, use heavy whipping cream that gives the entire dessert a light, fluffy texture. Additionally, our version gets an extra lift from only using fresh bananas and not “banana flavored” pudding.

How to make Nutter Butter No-Bake Banana Pudding
Combine cold water, sweetened condensed milk, and instant vanilla pudding. Mix until blended through with no visible lumps. Set in fridge to chill while preparing cream.
Pour heavy whipping cream into a large bowl or trifle dish and beat thoroughly. It will begin to thicken and will be ready when it clings to the paddle.
Pour the refrigerated pudding batter into the heavy whipping cream. Be sure to GENTLY fold it in to keep it light and airy! Once combined, set in fridge to chill while preparing bananas.
Slice lemon in half and squeeze out both halves of lemon into a shallow dish. Slice the bananas into thin, quarter-inch slices. Then dip the bananas in the bowl of lemon juice until coated on both sides. Do not soak in the lemon juice. (This will enhance the natural flavor of the bananas AND keep them from browning!)
Using a trifle dish or a large bowl, line the base of the dish with one layer of Nutter Butters.
Then add one layer of sliced bananas on top of the cookies. Grab chilled pudding mixture from the fridge and add 1/3 of mixture on top of the bananas.
Continue with layer pattern of cookies, bananas, and pudding mixture until mixture is gone. Top with any additional bananas or cookies if desired! Set in fridge to chill for at least 2 hours. After the dish is thoroughly chilled, serve and enjoy!

Ive not seen round nutter butter cookies. Ive only seen the ones shaped like a peanut. I haven't had them in a long time so I guess they changed. The recipe sounds yummy. Will definitely be making this.
