What is matcha?

Matcha is a finely ground powder that is made from the leaves of a specific kind of green tea. It’s traditional in Eastern Asia and the green tea plans are grown in a special way with certain conditions to create the flavor and color that we know and love.

Matcha does have caffeine and it is slightly different from regular green tea because we are consuming the ground up leaves instead of just steeping the leaves in hot water and then removing them (like you would with regular green tea).

What kind of equipment do I need to make Starbucks Frappuccino’s at home?

Honestly when it comes to making any kind of blended drink at home the best thing you can do is invest in a good blender. Of course an ice machine is nice to have and your favorite cups, bowls, and measuring spoons are excellent but really it comes down to the blender when making Starbucks Mint Matcha Frappuccinos.

A professional or high powered blende r really makes the difference because they’re able to crush up the ice the best! If you want something that is relatively inexpensive there are options! Of course something like a VitaMix is going to do a great job but you can also get smaller blender systems like the NutriBulle t that will crush ice really well and not break the bank!
