One of the fondest memories of Rakshabandhan that I vividly recall is how my mother would make a pot full of sweets. Both my brother and I loved sweets, so it would just last a few days.

It has been almost a decade since I tied rakhi on my brotherโ€™s wrist. As kids we would wake up early in the morning, get dressed, sit with rakhi and a plate full mom made sweets. I really miss those good old days.

  • โœ”๏ธŽ1 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • โœ”๏ธŽ150 gms Khoya
  • โœ”๏ธŽ1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • โœ”๏ธŽ1/2 tsp crushed cardamom
  • โœ”๏ธŽ2tbs ghee
  • โœ”๏ธŽ1/4 cup cashews; cut into small pieces
๐™ต๐š˜๐š› ๐™ฒ๐š˜๐šŠ๐š๐š’๐š—๐š
  • โœ”๏ธŽ1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • โœ”๏ธŽ1/2 cup milk

โœ”๏ธŽHeat ghee in a wok/pan
โœ”๏ธŽAdd khoya.
โœ”๏ธŽAdd coconut sugar
โœ”๏ธŽKeep stirring till sugar melts and makes a smooth mixture.
โœ”๏ธŽAdd cashews, shredded coconut, and cardamom powder.
โœ”๏ธŽMix well and let it roast for a couple of minutes.
โœ”๏ธŽTransfer into a plate and let it cool.
โœ”๏ธŽTake some mixture into your palm and shape into a ball.
โœ”๏ธŽDip it in milk and coat with shredded coconut.
โœ”๏ธŽYour ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ผ is ready. Enjoy!
  • Do not refrigerate. Keep in air tight container at cool and dark place.
