Dessert Kabobs

12 Kabobs

If you're having a summer barbecue, there's a good chance you're making kabobs (or something on a skewer). If you are, you should definitely make these dessert kabobs to go along with them, especially since you already have the skewers out of the package. These use only a couple ingredients -- strawberries, doughnut holes, and marshmallows -- on a skewer to make the base of the dessert. Then, chocolate is drizzled on top to complete the recipe.

But, don't feel like you can only make them for a summer barbecue. These are a great dessert for a party, a weekend, or just a regular Tuesday.

Cut the tops of off the strawberries. You don't want the green part and you want a flat end.

On your skewer stick, put a strawberry, a marshmallow, and a Munchkin. Keep doing that until the skewer is filled.

Continue until you've made enough skewers for your party guests.

Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave. Put them into a plastic bag (or a pastry bag, if you have one of those).

Carefully drizzle the melted chocolate over your kabobs. Wait until the chocolate is completely hardened before serving these to your guests.

Tips
  • Vary the patterns on the skewers. You don’t have to do it this way, but it looks prettier on the tray if you do.
